If you want to feel better in yourself, sometimes making little tweaks to your diet can make all the difference. A lot of people don't get enough protein and the recommended daily protein intake for women and men will differ depending on their unique goals. For example, if you are trying to get fitter and healthier, you should increase your protein intake as they are the building blocks of your muscle. Many people, when it comes to getting fitter, healthier, and stronger, don't necessarily have enough protein in their diet. We need to do away with the myth that too much protein is bad because this is not the case. But let's show you some simple ways to get more protein into your diet.
Protein Salads
Rather than just a simple and plain salad, a salad with a dose of cheese, chicken, nuts, or fish can make all the difference. If you love to fish you can easily opt for shellfish. FishforThought's shellfish online has a variety of different fish that can make a big difference to your dishes. It's important to remember that when it comes to salads, the leaves and vegetables are not going to fill you up; it is all about the protein!
Protein Snacks
There are a wide variety of methods to do this. You can start buying Biltong or beef jerky or you can also make little egg muffins in the oven. Of course, there are other ways for you to get more protein in the form of snacks. Nuts are a very good example. You can find a huge variety of nuts that make a big difference, and before you mention the fat quantities, not all calories are created equal! Fats are not the thing that will help you gain weight, it's the carbohydrates and the sugar intake.
Protein Shakes
Of course, without protein shakes, a lot of people would not hit their targets. Protein shakes, contrary to popular belief, are not a way for you to “bulk up.” If you are undergoing any form of exercise routine, you may worry that you are going to get bigger and bulkier, but the reality is that women cannot do this without consuming a huge amount of calories per day (there's a reason why wrestlers and athletes need to consume 5 or 6 full meals per day!), but a protein shake will help you feel fuller and this is going to stop you making unhealthier food choices throughout the day.
Loading Up on Protein at Breakfast
One of the best ways for you to control your calorie intake and get a dollop of protein to start your day is by consuming protein within 30 minutes of waking up. There are many ways you can do this. One of the simplest methods on days when you are running late is by putting peanut butter on toast. Full of protein, as well as fibre, it can make a massive difference.
As you can see, there are many ways for you to get more protein into your diet.

Do you get enough protein in everyday? If not, would you consider adding in any of these to your diet?
Give me the low-down on any extra protein treats, along with all of your questions, opinions or feedback - It's a pleasure to hear from you guys.

I don't eat meat because my body can't digest protein. But it's also a misconception that you need so much protein.
