Every woman wants to look their best. You want to maintain your vigour and youth for as long as possible. But, in this day and age, with a hectic lifestyle, a full-time job, raising children, and trying to keep up a social life, it’s not always that easy to give the time and effort that is needed to look after your looks. Unfortunately, if you don’t find some time for yourself, then you will no longer be the best version of yourself. The stresses and strains of life will show on your face and body, and you will begin to feel run-down, worn out, and this could lead to a detrimental effect on your mental health.
But to help you out, here are some ideas to help you remain the most beautiful version of yourself that won't take up all your time and effort:
Time out
Find some time to be by yourself every day, if possible. Even if it is only for ten minutes. Turn off your phone and sit quietly. You could lay on your bed or sit in a relaxed position with your spine straight. Breathe in and out deeply and allow all your stresses and strains to begin to flow out of you. Letting stress out can have a remarkable effect on your looks, as stress actually makes you age faster. All that internal conflict has to have an outlet, and if you are not going to release it. It will show. So if you do suffer from stress, have a go at trying to find that inner zen and begin calming yourself down and loving yourself again.
Drink more water
This is such a simple hack to add into your daily routine. If you can do it, drinking more water has so many beneficial side effects, especially for your skin. Drinking more water will help combat wrinkles and reduce the appearance of pores. It can also help you lose weight. Since it is a natural detoxifier, it can also help clear your skin of things such as acne. So this one is pretty much a no brainer to add to your lifestyle. Simply swap that bottle of pop for water.
Eat healthier
Cutting out fast food and swapping sugary snacks for healthier ones will do wonders for your skin and waistline. There are so many health benefits to reducing your sugar intake, like lowering the chance of you developing diabetes. However, in terms of your appearance, it will help you lose weight and keep your skin clear. So next time you are in the supermarket, and your hand is hovering over those crisps and chocolate bars, think healthy and head towards the fruit aisle. Strawberries are a great alternative, so are dried apricots.

Moisturisers and serums
You must invest in the correct moisturiser for your skin type. Is your skin oily, dry, or normal? Are you concerned about aging skin, then an anti wrinkle cream would be best for you. No matter what your age or skin type, there is a cream out there that will work wonders for you and help combat the signs of aging. Perhaps you could also think about combining into your beauty regime a facial serum too, as these maximise hydration. Another important thing to remember is that your moisturiser needs to be used before the expiration date has passed. This is because once a cream passes its use-by date, it no longer holds in the moisture it is expected to. So you may be using a product that is literally serving you no purpose at all.
Face masks
Face masks are a great way to add moisture to your complexion, and you only have to wear them for about fifteen minutes, so they don’t require you to take a lot of time out of your day to wear one. The bonus is, they work instantly. As soon as you take off that mask, you can see a difference straight away, because your skin has absorbed all the ingredients. This can make you feel amazing in a flash. Face masks can clear your pores and get rid of excess oils, which are clogging you up and causing acne. When choosing a mask, it is worth looking for ones that contain chemical exfoliants such as glycolic, lactic, and retinol. It best to have one with an antioxidant like vitamin C, and peptides, which are designed to increase collagen. There are many different face masks, so do some shopping about and home testing, and find the one that works best for you.
