So, to begin this blogging streak you're about to witness, I thought it might be useful just to chat about the importance of internet access and availability as it's something that heavily affects my life, particularly in the domain of blogging, and has essentially become an indispensable element of all of our lives in the 21st century.
Living in the countryside, my family and I have always had trouble with internet connection via Wi-Fi and, at a certain point, I can remember having to wait around 10 minutes just for one short YouTube video to buffer and start playing which is, quite frankly, ridiculous. Therefore, thinking we had no other option, we decided on a complete 4G home broadband router (in other words, 4G is used in place of Wi-Fi as the main source of internet connection for all devices within the home) which we've had much better luck with. However, as you know, I'm off to University in September and will be living alone (in student accommodation without free Wi-Fi) and, as all students, on a budget; lately, I've been checking out some data SIM only deals and they're definitely more suited to my needs as an individual.

If you aren't already aware of this marvellous discovery, data SIM only deals are absolutely ideal for laptops and tablets (or even phone's if you've got one you only use for internet access, for instance) because, much like with a regular phone SIM deal, you pay a set price per month but, in this case, the price you're paying gives you access to a certain amount of data without the added charge for calls and texts, as you can't make them on such devices. That way, you can enjoy the perks of having a stronger connection and the ability to be able to surf the web when you're out and about, all thanks to a simple SIM card that can also be slotted into a majority of newer laptop and tablet models.
There's no doubt in my mind that I'll be purchasing one of these deals before I pick up the keys to my new accommodation - I've been having a little rummage through the many choices in order to find my perfect fit and I do believe I've found a winner in Sky's 'Pay As You Use 8GB' plan for £10 per month with data rollover and roaming. That being said, you won't necessarily need as much data as I do (trust me guys, with all of the lectures, seminars and research I've got coming I'm going to need every last bit of that data); you might wish to go for something a little lighter in data usage like 3 Mobile's 2GB with global roaming deal for £7 per month. There really is something for everyone on here!

The idea of data SIM only deals is one I've only just started exploring recently upon realising my accommodation wasn't going to have free Wi-Fi (which sucks) so I thought I'd share it with you lovely lot sooner rather than later in case some of you are in the same boat as me or are even just looking to save some of that cash at the same time as maintaining a strong and fast internet connection. Whatever the reason may be, don't hesitate to take a little wander down this avenue and see what you can find - you never know, the perfect package might be waiting for you at the end!
Had you heard of Data SIM only deals before today? Would you consider getting one for one of your devices?
Let me know in the comment section below, along with any other questions, opinions or feedback you'd like to hit me with - I'm always ready to hear from you guys. In addition to that, it would really help if you followed my blog on your way out for tons more juicy pieces of content just like this - come on, you don't want to be missing out, especially not this Summer!
Until next time,
