Now, for this post, let us talk lips, a topic that you guys all know I have a passion for, a passion that could be otherwise described as an 'obsession' or a 'hoarding problem' but we won't even go there. To cut a long story short, I'm always experimenting with new lip products (recreationally and as a part of my blogging life) from all price ranges and, today, I've decided to present to you the lip products I've been testing out of late: the "6 Colors Matte Lip Gloss Set" from the brand Luckyfine.
Out of extreme kindness, of course, Luckyfine offered to send me one of their best selling items (this lipstick set) as they were interested in getting my honest thoughts and opinions on it and, like most would, I agreed and, to my shock, received an Amazon package containing the goodies just TWO days later. Speedy Gonzales much?
The lipsticks came enclosed in a burgundy-ish, thin cardboard casing with a pure white interior which, although arriving completely intact, was clearly designed to be aesthetically pleasing as it matches the warm berry colour spectrum of the shades to a T. And, being a self-proclaimed packaging fiend (to put it lightly), I very much appreciated that attention to detail. However, as always, the proof really is in the pudding - my next move was to have an extensive play with these over the course of a couple of weeks.
Before I deliver the conclusion of said "extensive play", as expected, I have for you a swatch, along with my personal description, of each shade so as to give you guys a pretty good idea of what sort of hues we're working with here:
In order, from top to bottom:
- Whisper: A coral-based pink
- Vibrant Girl: A candy red
- Glory: A colonial rose
- Purple Queen: A true magenta
- Rude Boy: A true crimson
- Wine: A grape-hued purple
Now, where to even begin? Firstly, with regards to the range of shades present within the collection, I'm reasonably satisfied - all of them are wearable on a majority of skintones and there's nothing here that I'd say is too crazy to be labelled as everyday wearable. My favourite shade is definitely 'Glory' (something that was decided following a severe internal dispute as 'Wine' was a close contender) because of how beautifully it compliments my complexion. I don't particularly have a 'least favourite' shade, however, I will permit myself to say that one of the two red tones within the group is surplus to requirement - they're almost identical, so much so that the camera couldn't even pick up the difference ('Rude Boy' is a smidgen darker than 'Vibrant Girl'). In its place, I would, for sure, recommend the inclusion of a nudey/beige lippy in order to form a set that has EVERYTHING and then some: a pink, a red, a nude, a burgundy and a couple of bonuses. What more could one ask for?
In terms of the formula, I'm very impressed as it mimics the likes of Zoeva and Pixi with it's creamy, mousse-like texture - I much prefer that as application is a lot smoother and it tends to be a lot less drying on the lips throughout the day. However, the element I'm most impressed by with these is that they're literally bulletproof so, if you're looking for something well-suited to those long twelve hour days (trust me, I know those very well...), these babies are absolutely perfect for you.

So, in their gorgeous frosted plastic tubes, this "6 Color Matte Lip Gloss Set" is currently on sale at $29.99 which is, quite frankly, a huge bargain for what you're getting overall and, to make the deal even sweeter, you can get a further 20 percent off by using the code: 20OFFLIP - this brings it down to $24.00.
In conclusion, given that this is a comfortably long wearing and creamy set of lipsticks, I would definitely recommend trying them out for yourselves, especially if you are looking to grow that lippy collection without breaking the bank - this is a great way to acquire 6 new shades all at once at a very low price.
Thank you so much for reading today's post - I hope I was able to introduce you guys to some new and affordable products within the lip department as one can't always overspend (says my bank manager when looking at my funds...).
Do you have a soft spot for lipsticks? If so, which shade here is catching your eye the most?

Like you I am always expanding my lipstick collection! The 6 shades do look gorgeous, but I agree it would've been nice if they included a nude shade instead of 2 similar red shades. From looking at the swatches, my favorite is Whisper. I love coral shades! I'll definitely have to look into buying this set 😊

Thank you so much for your lovely comment Karalee! Lipsticks are a somewhat essential in my life - I'm glad you understand haha! Yes, it would have definitely been great to have a lovely nude in there - Whisper is about the closest you get to that with this set and it is certainly a beautiful coral! x
