Being a woman (or should I say 'girl') of colour, I do sometimes struggle with certain cosmetics brands not providing enough variety in terms of shade range to match and suit darker skintones. And, quite frankly, it pisses me off bothers me a great deal, as EVERYONE, regardless of how light or dark an individual happens to be, has the right to feel beautiful. That, ladies and gentlemen, is why the brand new range B:UNDENIABLE by Brysocréma stole my heart the minute I read the description.
The wonderful Nadine Bryan (a British Entrepreneur) has absolutely worked her butt off for the last two years in order to formulate a line of products complimentary to the complexions of women of colour. Therefore, when I got the chance to try out some B:UNDENIABLE goodies for myself as gifted press samples before the launch date, I was overjoyed and, rightly so, because (spoiler alert!) they definitely have my approval. So, without further ado, with the products I received, let's get into some reviews, swatches and all of that good stuff!

I love a good eyeshadow and, despite the fact that pink isn't usually a colour I'd go for on the eyes, I've really been enjoying using this shade.
This matte, almost fuchsia hue is crazy pigmented; when using it in my crease, one swipe was all I needed to use to finish up my look. ONE SWIPE. And, although powerful and vivid, it's incredibly buttery, meaning that blending is practically effortless so, if needs be for the result you're going for, you can easily soften it up with a fluffy brush.
Overall, I'm really impressed by how this shadow performed - if you're looking for a versatile and high quality colour, with minimal fallout, to add to your collection, this is your baby right here.
Gold is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of my favourite lid shades, as it really adds a luxurious and metallic feel to any eye look and this shimmer stands out like a pound among pennies. Much like our previous matte pink, the pigmentation and texture cannot be faulted - the foiled finish it has is 100% undeniable (if you'll pardon the pun). However, if you're like me and your goal is to blind people as you strut past them in the street, you can definitely amplify the drama by slightly dampening your brush before applying. The possibilities are endless with this shadow - I've had so much fun playing with it.
Moving onto blush because, you know, who doesn't like the flushed look? This blush, in terms of colour, is incredibly similar to the opaque eyeshadow in 'Palatial Pink', the only difference being that this shade of rose doesn't have the same purplish hint to it. Instead, it's a delicate yet bright pink that's definitely buildable depending on the user.
Personally, I like my blush fairly soft and subtle - despite the fact that this packs a punch in terms of pigmentation, you can, for sure, tone it down by applying using a light hand if desired. Again, formula wise, Nadine's cracked it: these are smooth (not at all chalky), long-lasting, blend flawlessly and perform really well alongside other face products. I highly recommend this to any blush users out there that are looking for another one to add to their collection; no matter who you are and what skin tone you have, this is going to look STUNNING.
Audacious Lipstick in 'Lush Pink' (5ml) - £16.00
Finally, to end this post, we have a gorgeous 'Audacious' lipstick in the shade 'Lush Pink'. Being an unabashed lipstick obsessive, I was over the moon to be able to introduce a more vivid shade like this into my collection - I tend to remain locked up in my 'nude lip' comfort zone (once you start wearing them, you can never stop...). Therefore, wearing this lipstick has been a blast and has also made me want to experiment more with pink on the lips.
Women of colour constantly get 'informed' that they can't rock certain colours because they're "too dark" to suit them, however, today's the day that I'm going to call bullsh*t on that. This lipstick, although wearable, pushes the boundaries in terms of modern day expectations and I absolutely love that. With Vitamin E, Castor oil and antioxidant properties, it's moisturising and hydrating, providing a shiny opaque finish. Of course, as it's not a matte formula, you will need to reapply after meals and/or possibly snacks - just pop it in your handbag and you're all set for the day! With four different shades so far, you'll easily find a colour that works for you - get ready to be daring in your Audacious Lipstick.
Overall, I'm really impressed by the different products I've been experimenting with from the range. Each and every product has clearly been formulated with such care and attention to detail - there's something in here for everyone, regardless of skin tone. Both the concept and spirit of B:UNDENIABLE are incredibly inspiring and these high quality, luxury products are the evident result of a passionate founder. Nadine has done a fabulous job in designing this line and I, as a mixed raced girl, am honored to support and wear these stunning face, eye and lip products.
I urge you guys to head over to Brysocréma's Website and pick up a few bits in time for the launch - these babies come out at 6.am on the 6th of this month! Don't miss out!

Thanks for reading yet again Anne! It's nice to hear that, despite your lack of difficulties, you can still appreciate the good brands such as B:UNDENIABLE are doing towards making the makeup market more equal. x

I'm happy to hear that you found a new brand. I fully support brands that cater to all skin tones. I don't understands why brands still think it's okay to have such a limited range.
ReplyDeleteJennifer | Mrs Q Beauty
Overjoyed to hear that Jennifer - 100% agreed! You're spot on - it's not okay! And they're soon going to be put to shame as more amazing new brands such as B:UNDENIABLE boast a wider colour spectrum! x

I totally agree that it's wrong that so many brands don't offer enough variety of shades to cater for everybody. Offering four shades that are only slightly different simply isn't enough, and it's about time more brands changed that. This brand sounds so good though, and I'm glad you like it! Everything sounds so good, and that lipstick looks gorgeous and you rock it girl! Great post xx
ReplyDeleteHannah | luxuryblush
Very insightful Han - so glad your all for it and denouncing those brands who mysteriously have only 4 of the same shade out in their collection! That's why I was so happy when I saw Fenty Beauty come out - 40 SHADES! x Such a good example, along with this new brand by Nadine! Yassss thanks so much beautiful - I will rock it! xx
