Yet another month of this precious Summer period has flown past, which means that I have the pleasure of bringing you the hottest launches from Lola Makeup. Honestly, you guys are going to absolutely LOVE these new products so, without any further hesitation, let's get straight into this July's edition of my 'Love Lola Makeup' series!
Matte Long Lasting Lipstick 2017* - £12
You guys, I can't explain how much I've been loving a matte lip of late, and these ones from Lola are absolutely no exception. I have the shades '116 Pink Martini' and '113 Glacier Cherry', which are both very vivid, summery hues - they've not left my lips since they arrived!

As you can see from the swatches, we have a stunning dark pink and a just perfect bold red, both incredibly long lasting with a matte finish. Enriched with Vitamin E and with Jojoba oil, these lipsticks are creamy upon application, which is very impressive for a matte, as they generally tend to apply in a rather stiff and unpleasant manner. I'm also quite taken by how comfortable these feel throughout the day; I do have to reapply once or twice during an 8 hour period, however, I'd rather that than have my lips looking and feeling as dry as the Sahara!
Overall, I'd definitely recommend these lipsticks - I'll be using them for years to come.
Lash Extension Mascara (003 Blue)* - £11.95
Now, this mascara was definitely and interesting one for me, as I've never really experimented with any other colour of mascara besides black and brown. However, I've, for sure, been won over by this lovely sapphire blue shade. It's stunning!
The actual formula of the mascara is like any other regular one (meaning that the different colour doesn't interfere with the quality of the product) however, I am a fan of the wand, as it's very flexible, allowing you to get into every crevice and really lengthen those lashes.
But the real star of the show is definitely the colour, which has been the star of my summer makeup so far and can definitely rock yours too!
Get the look:
In order to use these products in one look, I would create a gorgeous ombre effect by placing shade 'Glacier Cherry' on the outer rim of lips, followed by 'Pink Martini' matte long-lasting lipstick on the rest. To complete your pout, rub your lips together and BAM - ombre AF.For the eyes, I'd keep it incredibly simple, as, with the addition of the blue mascara, it can become too much if your shadows are too popping. So a cool toned brown in the crease, along with that sapphire moment on the lashes and everything will be looking fabulous.

I know right Di! These are definitely shades that I'd normally say are 'out of my comfort zone' but, in reality, nothing's impossible - I prefer these with a brown lip liner, so that they don't look to bold against my skintone but yes, they look stunning! xxx

I am not the biggst fan of matte lipsticks because of the drying feeling, these seem to be the exception of the rule.

I, myself, have always been a fan of a good matte lip but, you're right, the formula is key and a lot of brands don't always get it spot on and you find yourself with the driest lips in the world! That matte red lipstick has the perfect shade to rock the real french chic, I'm really a fan of it. The blue mascara is a bit too much for someone with such a conservative taste as me. I'd love to see some picture of the ombre lipstick look you've mentioned, I think that would be a great addition to your post.
