Yes, I know you guys were probably expecting a tutorial based on today's title, however, instead, I think it's about time to introduce you to the brand that has completely changed my eye makeup game for the better.
If you haven't heard of Eyeko before (I.e. if you live under a rock), they are a truly fantastic brand, specialising in a range of products formulated for the eye and brow area.
Before approximately a month and a half ago, I hadn't tried any of their products and was completely unaware of their sheer quality, otherwise they would have been featured on this blog much sooner. For sure. But, as they say, there's no time like the present, so today we're going to explore a mix of stunning Eyeko products that were kindly gifted to me by their wonderful PR team! (Kadija, I see you girl!)
Trust me, your bank account balance is going to be in real trouble after reading this post!
Lash Alert Mascara - £19.00
Now, when I saw this mascara, I absolutely freaked out because I love the concept of having a mascara in a tube, as it's so convenient and innovative! And, needless to say, it definitely lived up to my expectations.
I am, quite frankly, obsessed with this mascara; the wand itself is the perfect size (allowing for the formation of a curl within the lashes) and the formula is spot on, meaning it's not too watery yet not thick enough to reach that dreaded 'clumpy' status. It's just my idea of perfection and plus, it's very black, which I love for extra definition and volume.
The ingredients included have also really impressed me, ranging from caffeine to the likes of Arginine for the stimulation of growth and also to give you that 'awake and energized' look, even after the roughest night's sleep. (We all know those nights...)
I totally recommend this mascara 100% - it's the only one I've been using on the daily since the moment I got it. It definitely gets the job done and gets it done bloody well!
Brow Gel - £18.00
This botanically enriched brow gel has been an absolute lifesaver for my brows, which are very fine, sparse and in need of a good taming now and again!
With regards to the gel, the texture is fairly loose, which I'm actually very into as thicker gels tend to create a very artificial, 'clingy' sheen on top of each hair. However, here, you're definitely getting a more natural finish and, for me, that's always the aim of the game when it comes to applying any makeup product. Make it look like it's meant to be there. (The 'fake' look isn't my cup of tea but can, of course, suit others really well so to each his own, I say!)
Yes, swatching a brow gel was not easy but I do try for you guys! |
To be honest, I'm not at all surprised that this brow gel has won awards - its ability to style and define quickly and effectively is, indeed, second to none.
Me and my shadow - £18.00
I don't even know where to start with these stunning shadow sticks. It's fair to say that I'm bowled over by these and will be getting a hell of a lot of use out of them, now and in the near future.
The shades I have are bronze, topaz and charcoal, all of which are creamy, blendable and pigmented AF. I mean, one swipe of one of these and you're good for the rest of the day, as they don't smudge or budge due to their waterproof nature.
From top to bottom: Bronze, Topaz and Charcoal |
Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner - £16.00
Despite the fact I own numerous liquid liners, this one has quickly become one of my favourites that I'm constantly reaching for. In my opinion, the brush on this liner is like no other - it's so adaptable, allowing for ultimate precision on every stroke.
With this product, you can create the thinnest of all lines if desired but, by slightly pressing harder, you can separate the bristles and draw out the perfect fat black wing. It's revolutionary!
3-in-1 Makeup Brush - £16.00
And last but not least is this three in one brush. Yes, you heard that right: three in one! Don't believe me?
BAM! Now, as you can see, we have a precision liner brush, a defining brush (perfect for applying lid colour) and a blending brush, which is fabulous in the crease. All of the brushes are great quality and the fact that they're so compact mean that they'll forever have a place in my travel makeup bag!
I definitely recommend this three in one 'contraption', as it's so original and saves me an immense amount of space inside my bag, which is usually crammed full of junk (like my school books, for example).
Thank you so much for reading this post on my wonderful Eyeko makeup collection. Eyeko are certainly a brand to watch out for - their products are very impressive and they make me incredibly proud to be English! Us brits finally have a respectable makeup brand to support and purchase from!
In addition, I think you'll be delighted to know that this certainly won't be the last you hear from Eyeko here on my blog, as I am on their PR list, meaning that you guys will get to see each new product launch as it comes out! So be sure to look out for those!
If you enjoyed reading today, please follow this blog for more juicy, beauty-related content just like this! Also, don't hesitate to leave a comment as I adore you guys and want nothing more than to hear from you as regularly as possible.

I really struggle when it comes to putting on make-up. Any advice is much needed!
ReplyDeleteAwe hun! Makeup is, of course, a practice makes perfect type of skill, but if I were to give you some advice, it would definitely be to get yourself sorted with some basic, good quality products (ie. a mascara, a shadow palette, a liner, foundation, powder, etc..) and watch a Youtube tutorial, following each step and then see how it looks! You can continue to do that and, trust me, within a few weeks, you'll have come on leaps and bounds! Bear Eyeko in mind for you eye makeup products - they're stunning! x
