After last month's beauty favourites post became my most popular blogpost of all time (thank you so much!), I decided that I simply had to bring it back this month and give you guys something I know you'll enjoy!
However, the twist is that this post is in collaboration with my absolutely wonderful blogging friend Nikita from 'Jasmine Loves'. She's such a genuine person and has a beautiful blog, posting regular, amazing content. Go and check her out ASAP - She'll be posting her part of the collab right about now, so after you've finished reading mine, just pop on over and scope out her sweet little space on the Internet for yourselves. You won't be disappointed!
Anyway, without further ado, let's get into talking about my stand out products for this month!
Technic Strobe Kit (shade: Blush)* - £3.99
So, for those of you that had a cheeky little read of my recent Technic Cosmetics brand focus post, it won't come as a surprise that this product made it into my favourites.
This strobe kit contains 2 cream and 2 powder shades that are constantly rocking my world at this present moment in time - I haven't put this beauty down since it first arrived in my post box. The pigmentation is unreal and each shade blends seamlessly into any look, adding in that extra dash of glimmer that we all desire nowadays. I totally recommend this, even if you aren't a fan of highlighting, as it can be used on the eye to add a pop of colour to the lid and even on the lips to give any lipstick a metallic finish.
The possibilities are endless and, at such a low price, it would be a real shame not to give this strobe kit a whirl!
Sleek 'I-lust' Palette (shade: diamonds in the rough) - £7.49
As you guys know, I am a huge fan of Sleek as a brand, so when I spotted this fairly new palette on their website, I just couldn't resist purchasing immediately. (Again, sorry bank account.)
This rose gold toned spectrum has been my lifeline of late; my inner corner has never looked so "popping"! Each and every shade within the collection has some sort of shimmer factor, meaning that you wouldn't be able to create a complete eye look with it, but it certainly does an amazing job at slaying that lid, browbone, inner corner and Cupid's bow. Although slightly powdery, the 4 dry shadows are easy to apply and work with, whilst the 2 wet, creamy shades are beautifully pigmented and also very blendable.
So, if you're looking for some warm, jewelled shimmer shades to add to your stash, this palette would definitely be a perfect and affordable buy for you.
Chloe Ferry Cosmetics Matte Lip Gloss (shade: heat)* - £14.99
Most people know the gorgeous queen Chloe Ferry from MTV's Geordie Shore, however, she's definitely earned her place in the makeup industry with her outstanding cosmetics.
I recently got the pleasure of trying this liquid matte lipstick in the shade 'Heat' (a rich, bold brown - right up my street!) and fell in love with it on the first application. First of all, the chocolate like fragrance is absolutely delicious and not off putting in the slightest, as it's only a lingering presence. In addition, the formula is just right, meaning that it's easy to apply, stays opaque throughout the day and drys super matte yet doesn't feel uncomfortable on. And the best part is that it's incredibly lightweight - I could barely feel it on my lips, which is ideal for me as, when I wear makeup, I don't like to feel as if I'm absolutely caked, and this did the trick.
I recommend this product to anyone looking for a beautiful liquid lipstick that won't break the bank. I get so many compliments when wearing this and can't wait to try out some more shades.
Benton 'Cacao Moist and mild' cream* - £12.34
After working with Korean brand Benton a while back and loving their products, I was delighted when they approached me and asked me to try out their new moisturiser.
Normally, during summer, my skin becomes very dry and uncomfortable due to lack of moisture, however, this product has definitely aided in the prevention of a dehydrated skin disaster this year. With the aid of key ingredients like hyaluronic acid and cacao extracts, my skin remains nourished all day long. But, at the same time, my pores don't feel like they've been drowned in product, as this cream has a really lightweight texture to it. And, plus, for those of you that obsess over 'unpleasant' scents, you'll be happy to know that there is little to no smell detectable when applying.
This moisturiser is second to none and I totally recommend it to anyone with any skin type in order to keep that dewy finish 24/7.
Taking Shape Coconut and Lime hand cream - £3.00
Unfortunately, I don't think this product is available for purchase anymore (which is why I have linked a set of some of my other favourite Taking Shape hand creams) however, I simply could not leave it out of this post.
My hands always feel and look amazing after being treated to a squirt of this - it nourishes, smells amazing and really helps with cracked or dry hands, which I tend to get throughout the hotter months. It's an amazing product - I highly recommend it!
Annemarie Borlind Vitamin Duo Mask* - £31.50
Now, I've always loved a good mask, however, this one isn't just good - it's revolutionary. Made in the Black Forest, this product contains plenty of natural ingredients (such as Goji, Acai and Sea Buckthorn berries) to help promote cell renewal and get rid of that dull and tired looking skin that everyone dreads having.
The moment I set eyes on this mask, I was obsessed with the 'duo' style set up and, after trying it, I can safely say that it will definitely become a permanent member of my skincare collection. This citrusy, creamy mask creates a beautiful sheen over the skin when applied and doesn't slip or slide and go EVERYWHERE once on, which is always a positive in my books. In addition, it definitely doesn't disappoint when it comes to results - my skin always feels so soft afterwards and has a noticeable glow/brightness to it.
Overall, I love this mask, as it really has done wonders for my skin, so if you have a few extra pennies to spare, pick up this luxury skincare products and give your face a pampering that it'll never forget!
S. Mills Beauty 4 brush set* - £28.00
Last, but certainly not least, is this stunning brush set from S. Mills Beauty! Within the set, you get a powder, foundation, eyeshadow and angled eyebrow brush, which are all incredible quality and sturdy enough to last you years.
I would definitely encourage you to purchase these brushes, as they're baby soft, have a hugely professional/expensive look and feel and are extremely affordable, unlike a lot of brush sets that catch my eyes whilst I'm shopping online. (I have an expensive taste, you see...)
SOOOO SOFT! |
